The Hanoi People’s Committee has announced that the city is committed to achieving a complete transition to green transportation by 2030 at the latest. To meet this goal, Hanoi is implementing green initiatives across multiple sectors.
In the area of parking facilities (static traffic), the city’s People’s Committee has tasked the Department of Construction and Hanoi Parking Management and Operation One Member LLC with conducting research and piloting the installation of charging stations and battery swap cabinets at 39 public parking sites across the city.

The 39 charging stations and battery swap cabinets will be strategically located in densely populated and commercial areas.
Following surveys, consulting units have proposed several public parking locations along key streets, including: Liễu Giai, Trần Duy Hưng, Cầu Giấy, Văn Khê, Quang Trung, Dương Nội, Văn Quán, and districts such as Hoà ng Mai, Long Biên, Thanh Xuân, and Nam Từ Liêm.
In the public passenger transport sector, the Hanoi Department of Construction reports that as of December this year, the city has launched 17 electric bus routes with 256 vehicles. Notably, in December, Liên Ninh Transport Company completed the replacement of 111 diesel buses with electric ones.
To date, Hanoi operates 23 electric bus routes with approximately 367 vehicles and plans to convert an additional 200 vehicles by 2026.
