Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc has firmly denied rumors of relocating the administrative center to the Pleiku area, stating that such claims are baseless and entirely unfounded.

For nearly a month, rumors have been circulating in Gia Lai province, suggesting that several provincial agencies are preparing to relocate their headquarters to the administrative center in the Pleiku area. This speculation has spread widely, causing confusion among the public, with some real estate information pages even publishing vague reports that further fueled the uncertainty.

In response to these rumors about the relocation of the administrative center to Pleiku, Thai Dai Ngoc, the Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, has firmly denied them, stating that they are baseless and unfounded.

Some social media platforms have posted ambiguous questions, leaving residents perplexed.

According to the Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, the province’s governance and operational activities have stabilized, eliminating any need to relocate the administrative center to Pleiku. Furthermore, the province is actively focusing on the economic and social development of the western region of Gia Lai. Recently, several major projects have overcome obstacles and are set to contribute significantly to the area’s growth once operational.

The Nhon Hoi Economic Zone boasts a vast land area.

Meanwhile, the Gia Lai Department of Construction recently submitted a proposal to the Provincial People’s Committee, suggesting three potential locations for the construction of the new Provincial Administrative Center. The department organized an inter-agency meeting with relevant local authorities (Department of Finance, Department of Agriculture and Environment, Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, and the People’s Committee of Quy Nhon Dong Ward) to fulfill the Provincial People’s Committee’s directive regarding the proposed site for the Provincial Administrative Center.

The Gia Lai Department of Construction asserts that the proposed location within the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone aligns with the regulations and will serve as the foundation for developing the master plan.
