The sudden postponement of the music show “Return Here, Four Wings of the Sky” has sparked outrage among the public and audiences.
“Return Here, Four Wings of the Sky” was billed as a special musical project, marking the first time four of Vietnam’s most prominent composers—Văn Cao, Phạm Duy, Trịnh Công Sơn, and Trần Tiến—would be celebrated in a single artistic space.
The concert was scheduled for the evening of December 28 at Mỹ Đình Athletics Stadium. However, it was abruptly canceled without prior notice just hours before it was set to begin.
According to the schedule, the concert was to take place on the evening of December 28 in Hanoi. However, rumors circulated on social media earlier that day suggesting the event might be postponed due to poor ticket sales, causing anxiety among attendees. That afternoon, the production team assured the media that there was “absolutely no plan to postpone or cancel” the show. Rehearsals continued, and organizers reiterated that the concert would proceed as planned. Ticket sales remained open until the last minute.
Many attendees reported that ticket sales continued into the late afternoon and early evening of December 28, with new purchases still being accepted despite internal concerns about the event’s viability. This behavior was widely criticized as irresponsible and exploitative, prioritizing financial gain over audience trust and respect.
Public anger intensified when, on the evening of December 28, several artists announced their withdrawal. Singer Lê Hiếu posted a statement confirming his absence, citing organizational issues. Shortly after, Lâm Bảo Ngọc’s management company also confirmed the event’s cancellation, following a unilateral announcement from the organizer, Ngọc Việt Education.

On the Ngọc Việt Show Facebook page, a representative from Ngọc Việt Production apologized to the audience of “Return Here, Four Wings of the Sky” for the postponement.
In their apology, the producer cited unforeseen circumstances that made it impossible to proceed with the event as planned.
Regarding the last-minute announcement, which left many attendees already present, the producer expressed deep regret, stating they were unable to manage the situation effectively at that time.
The producer plans to issue an official press release detailing the reasons for the postponement. For attendees requesting refunds without waiting for the rescheduled show, the producer will process full refunds.
