According to Maeil Business News Korea, Hyundai has sold an impressive 192,285 units of the Palisade in the first 11 months of this year. This marks a remarkable 28% increase compared to the same period in 2024, surpassing the previous annual record of 166,622 units set in 2023.
Projections indicate that the Hyundai Palisade is on track to exceed the 200,000-unit milestone by the end of 2025, setting a new all-time high since its launch.
Introduced in 2018, the Palisade quickly became Hyundai’s flagship SUV, achieving consistent sales figures: 107,514 units in 2019, 157,133 in 2020, and 157,688 in 2021.

Despite a slight dip to 151,427 units in 2022, the Palisade rebounded strongly after the launch of its upgraded version, reaching 166,622 units in 2023 and maintaining over 160,000 units for two consecutive years.
The year 2025 marks a new era for the Palisade with the introduction of a fully redesigned model. This new version has quickly gained traction in both domestic and international markets, particularly the hybrid variant.
The latest Palisade offers a spacious interior with versatile 7-9 seating configurations. Notably, Hyundai has introduced a hybrid powertrain option, combining fuel efficiency with optimized performance.
A Hyundai Motor representative stated that the popularity of the Palisade hybrid has been instrumental in driving global sales of this full-size SUV.
The success of the new Palisade in its debut year underscores Hyundai’s “powertrain diversification” strategy. The South Korean automaker is actively developing and offering a comprehensive range of electric, hybrid, and internal combustion engine vehicles to adapt to market fluctuations, especially as the demand for pure electric vehicles slows down.
Alongside the Palisade’s success, Hyundai is expanding its hybrid lineup. In September 2025, the company announced plans to increase its hybrid models to 18 by 2030, spanning from entry-level to premium segments to cater to diverse consumer needs.
In Vietnam, the current generation of the Hyundai Palisade is still available but has seen significant price reductions recently. This move is speculated to be a clearance effort to make way for the new generation model arriving next year.
In the electrification sector, Hyundai Thanh Cong recently launched the Santa Fe Hybrid, offering Vietnamese consumers an additional 7-seat hybrid option. It is possible that the Palisade will also be available in a hybrid version when the new generation is introduced in Vietnam in the future.
