The Center is also tasked with formulating programs, plans, projects, and schemes related to land use planning and strategies for land resource utilization and protection. Furthermore, the Center develops, manages, and operates a land quality monitoring system, participates in building and updating databases on land, land use planning, land prices, and other specialized data for the national land database. Scientific research, strategic land use forecasting, and the development of land-based economic and financial resources remain key priorities.
According to Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa, the establishment of the Center is a crucial organizational step to enhance the efficiency of sustainable land resource management in the new development phase.
