These areas are delineated by specific coordinates, both at sea and on land.
Notably, the new regulations extend the maritime port waters of Quang Tri Province in the My Thuy area to align with approved sectoral plans and ensure compliance with the Prime Minister’s decision on the investment policy for the My Thuy Port construction project in Hai Lang District. This expansion also supports the overall planning of the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone.
Additionally, the Cu Gianh area has been expanded to fully cover all anchoring and storm shelter zones.
The boundaries of the maritime port waters of Quang Tri Province, as defined in this Circular, are identified on the latest 2025 nautical charts issued by the Vietnam Maritime Administration Corporation, including VN50016, VN50017, VN50018, and VN30010. Coordinates are specified in the VN-2000 system and converted to the corresponding WGS-84 system.
The maritime areas under Quang Tri Province’s jurisdiction include four zones: Hon La, Cu Gianh, Cua Viet, and My Thuy.
The Quang Tri Port Authority is responsible for specialized state management of maritime activities within the province’s port waters and designated maritime areas.
