Hoa Phat Sets Record Sales in December

In December 2025, Hoa Phat Group (HOSE: HPG) achieved a record-breaking sales volume of 585,000 tons for its high-quality construction steel and steel coils, marking a remarkable 52% increase compared to the same period in 2024. This milestone represents the highest sales figure in the company's history.

In the total sales volume, high-quality steel coils used for manufacturing automobile tire rims, welding cores, prestressed cables, and mechanical engineering contributed approximately 60,000 tons.

According to Hoa Phat, all branches and regions achieved strong growth compared to the same period last year. Notably, the Southern region recorded sales of over 100,000 tons, doubling the figure from December 2024 and marking the highest level ever for Hoa Phat construction steel in this market.

The surge in construction steel sales during the final month of the year was driven by several positive factors. Public investment projects such as highways and airports accelerated their construction progress, while demand in the residential market also remained promising.

Additionally, the strategy to strengthen distribution networks and expand sales in the Southern region over the past period played a significant role in boosting growth, enabling Hoa Phat to more effectively penetrate potential markets.

Exceeding the 2025 Plan

For the entire year of 2025, Hoa Phat recorded 4.85 million tons of construction steel and high-quality steel, surpassing the set target and increasing by 8% compared to 2024. Of this, the Southern market contributed nearly 900,000 tons, a 24% increase from the previous year’s 706,000 tons.

This achievement solidified Hoa Phat’s steel market share at a robust 36%, maintaining its position as Vietnam’s leading steel producer.

Hoa Phat Group is currently Southeast Asia’s largest steel manufacturer, with an expected capacity of 16 million tons by the end of 2026. Notably, 60% of this capacity is dedicated to high-tech steel products, catering to diverse industries such as mechanical engineering, automotive manufacturing, shipbuilding, oil and gas, household appliances, steel structures, and energy.

Presently, Hoa Phat is the only Vietnamese enterprise investing in the production of hot-rolled coil steel (HRC), a critical input for galvanized steel sheet manufacturers.

The Group operates two large-scale integrated steel production complexes in Hai Phong and Quang Ngai, along with a steel casting and rolling complex in Hung Yen Province. Spanning 700 hectares, the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Complex in Quang Ngai is the largest production facility, with an annual capacity of 12 million tons of steel.

Launching the Rail Steel Plant

Hoa Phat is aggressively implementing the Rail and Special Steel Production Plant project in Dung Quat. The plant is expected to produce rail steel by 2027, serving Vietnam’s key railway projects and targeting international export markets.

This project not only demonstrates Hoa Phat’s strategic vision in developing specialized products but also contributes to the advancement of Vietnam’s transportation sector, particularly the railway system, which is receiving significant investment.
