According to the 2040 master plan, three additional bridges are expected to span the Saigon River, connecting Lai Thieu and Thuan An wards in Ho Chi Minh City.

The proposed bridges, named Vinh Phu, Lai Thieu, and Tau, are strategically positioned. The image highlights the planned location of the Vinh Phu Bridge.

The Lai Thieu Bridge, connecting Ward 3/2 (Lai Thieu Ward) across the Saigon River to Ha Huy Giap Street (Thoi An Ward), replaces a previously dismantled iron bridge due to age.

The Tau Bridge is planned to connect Cau Tau Street (Thuan An Ward) across the Saigon River to Hoc Mon District.

In addition to the bridge projects, riverside roads are under construction in Lai Thieu, Thuan An, and Thu Dau Mot wards.
