On January 4, 2026, the Hanoi People’s Committee announced the first batch of 39 social housing projects slated for development between 2026 and 2030. This initiative aims to meet the government’s target of completing 120,000 social housing units in the city.
Project timelines are estimated at approximately 3 years for sites with completed land clearance and around 4 years for those still undergoing clearance processes.
Spanning nearly 115 hectares, these 39 projects collectively require an initial investment of approximately VND 71.5 trillion. Notably, Noi Bai Commune hosts 7 projects, covering over 10 hectares with a total investment of nearly VND 5.5 trillion.
Da Phuc Commune follows with 6 projects across nearly 13.3 hectares, totaling nearly VND 11.8 trillion. The standout project, Da Phuc 1 Social Housing, boasts an investment of over VND 10.1 trillion, covering 11 hectares and accommodating over 4,900 residents.
Soc Son Commune also features 6 projects, spanning over 31.5 hectares with a total investment exceeding VND 28.3 trillion. Key highlights include the Soc Son 5 Social Housing project, covering nearly 9.5 hectares with an investment of over VND 8.7 trillion, and the Soc Son 4 project, spanning over 7.7 hectares with an investment of more than VND 7.1 trillion.
While Tan Tien Commune has only one project, the Xuan Mai – Tan Tien Social Housing, it stands out with the largest investment of VND 12,078 billion, catering to a population of 17,250.
