Iconic Stocks Set to Switch Exchanges

KienlongBank, Vietbank, Gia Lai Hydropower, and Truong Son Investment and Construction are set to elevate their market presence as their shares transition from the Upcom exchange to the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange.

The Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) has approved the listing of over 47 million shares of Gia Lai Hydropower Joint Stock Company (stock code: GHC) on the HoSE platform. As of December 31st, GHC shares were trading on Upcom at a price of VND 29,100 per share, valuing the company at approximately VND 1,287 billion.

Gia Lai Hydropower, originally established as Gia Lai Electricity Investment and Development LLC on March 14, 2002, is a joint venture between Electricity Company 3 and Gia Lai Electricity Company, with each holding a 50% stake. On April 26, 2011, the company’s shares began trading on Upcom under the code GHC.

By the end of 2024, Gia Lai Hydropower operates two hydropower projects with a combined capacity of 28.2 MW (H’Chan plant, 12 MW, operational since 2006, and H’Mun plant, 16.2 MW, operational since 2010), two wind power projects with a total capacity of 80 MW (operational since 2021), and solar power projects, including rooftop solar, with a total capacity of 51.6 MWP (operational since 2019).

As of September 30, 2025, GHC’s major shareholders include Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company (stock code: GEG) with 62.53%, Central Power Corporation with 2.83%, and other shareholders holding the remaining 34.63%.

Similarly, KienlongBank (stock code: KLB) has announced that it will delist from Upcom on January 7th. All 582 million KLB shares will trade for the last time on Upcom on January 6th, with delisting effective the following day.

Previously, HoSE accepted KLB’s listing application for over 365 million shares in September 2025. KLB also conducted a 60% stock dividend, increasing its chartered capital to over VND 5,821 billion.

On December 18, 2025, HoSE approved the listing of 582 million KLB shares, with a total listed value of over VND 5,821 billion based on par value. KLB shares have been trading on Upcom since June 2017.

Truong Son Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (stock code: TSA) will list over 40 million shares on HoSE starting January 7th, with a reference price of VND 13,800 per share. The company’s market capitalization on its debut is estimated at VND 557 billion, making TSA the first stock to list on HoSE in 2026.

VBB shares are expected to complete all necessary procedures for HoSE listing by Q1/2026 at the latest.

On December 25th, TSA shares traded for the last time on Upcom, closing at VND 14,000 per share. Established on August 29, 2002, with an initial chartered capital of VND 1.2 billion, Truong Son Construction has since increased its capital to over VND 404 billion, a 336-fold increase.

Notably, before listing on Upcom, Mr. Nguyen Van Truong, Chairman of TSA’s Board of Directors, sold 75% of his stake, reducing his ownership from 95% to 20%.

Vietbank (stock code: VBB) has increased its chartered capital to VND 10,769 billion following a public offering completed in December 2025. The bank successfully issued 255,865,414 shares to investors.

Alongside the capital increase, Vietbank is preparing to transfer VBB shares from Upcom to HoSE. According to the plan, VBB shares are expected to complete all necessary procedures for HoSE listing by Q1/2026 at the latest.
