A previous-generation Ford Ranger, imported directly from the U.S., was recently spotted cruising the streets of Hanoi.
Compared to the older Ford Ranger models officially sold in Vietnam, this particular truck stands out with its vibrant orange paint, wider wheel arches accented with red highlights, side-mounted exhaust, and Raptor-style wheels and tires. Notably, the reflective details on the wheel arches confirm its American origins.

This Ford Ranger is the Tremor edition, imported privately into Vietnam several years ago. In 2023, this rare pickup was listed for sale on social media with an asking price of nearly 3.1 billion VND, in brand-new condition. This price tag significantly surpasses that of the Ford Ranger Raptor, which was officially priced at 1.299 billion VND, despite being a newer generation model.
Beyond its U.S. origins, the Ford Ranger Tremor featured in this article is particularly special due to its turbocharged 2.3L EcoBoost gasoline engine, producing 270 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine is also found in high-performance vehicles like the Ford Mustang, Focus ST, and Focus RS.
In contrast, the Ford Ranger models officially sold in Vietnam are exclusively offered with a 2.0L diesel engine, available in single or twin-turbo configurations.

Furthermore, the Ford Ranger Tremor boasts numerous off-road enhancements, including FOX 2.0 suspension with 6.5-inch front and 8.1-inch rear travel, steel skid plates, all-terrain tires, a rear locking differential, and the Terrain Management system with Trail Control for automatic throttle management during off-road driving.
Inside, the cabin of the U.S.-imported Ford Ranger Tremor remains largely unchanged in design. The most noticeable addition is the six switches on the dashboard, allowing users to connect and control external lighting or electrical systems.
