VinFast Boosts Capital by $1.3 Billion to $3.5 Billion, Surpassing Vingroup’s Valuation

VinFast, a subsidiary of Vingroup founded by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, has made a significant leap by increasing its chartered capital from VND 50,793 billion to VND 80,793 billion.

This new figure surpasses even Vingroup’s own chartered capital of VND 77,335 billion.

Following this adjustment, VinFast’s foreign capital remains at VND 9,415 billion, though its proportion decreases to 11.7%, an 18.6% reduction. This foreign capital is held by VinFast Auto Ltd. in Singapore, which remains part of the VinFast ecosystem.

VinFast anticipates a successful 2025, projecting nearly 200,000 vehicle sales globally. Domestically, the Vietnamese automaker aims for a 30% market share with over 170,000 units sold, outperforming competitors like Toyota and Hyundai. In the electric motorcycle segment, VinFast also achieved record-high sales.

Recently, companies within the Vingroup ecosystem have consistently increased their capital. Green and Smart Mobility JSC (GSM) raised its capital by 39%, from VND 18,000 billion to VND 25,000 billion.

In November 2025, VinMetal increased its chartered capital from VND 10,000 billion to VND 15,000 billion, without disclosing changes in its shareholder structure.

In October 2025, VinEnergo saw a substantial capital increase from VND 10,000 billion to VND 28,335 billion. Of this, 44.59% (VND 12,133.9 billion) was contributed in cash, while other assets accounted for 55.41% (VND 15,701.1 billion). In November, the company announced that Dynamic Invest Group Limited, based in Hong Kong, China, acquired a 5% stake, equivalent to VND 1,416.8 billion.

Also in November 2025, VinSpeed, a Vingroup subsidiary, raised its chartered capital from VND 31,200 billion to VND 33,000 billion. Previously, VinSpeed had increased its capital from VND 15,000 billion to VND 31,200 billion through the merger with Hung Long Real Estate Management and Investment JSC.
