On January 2, 2026, the Management Board of Hue Economic and Industrial Zones announced the results of the bid opening for the investment project to construct and operate the infrastructure of La Son Industrial Zone (IZ) Area No. 01.
Accordingly, only Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company Limited (VSIP) submitted a bid for the project.
La Son IZ Area No. 01 spans over 467 hectares, located in Hung Loc and Loc An communes, and was approved for investment by the People’s Committee of Hue City on December 5, 2025.
The project site is 13 km from Phu Bai Airport, 45 km from Chan May Port, 85 km from Da Nang Port, and 75 km from Da Nang Airport.
Currently, the land is predominantly agricultural, covering over 462 hectares (nearly 99%). Non-agricultural land accounts for approximately 4.9 hectares (over 1%).

The total investment is 3.075 trillion VND, including approximately 533 billion VND for compensation and resettlement support. The investor’s equity contribution is at least 15% of the total investment, equivalent to over 461 billion VND.
Construction is expected to be completed and the project operational within 5 years. The operational period is 50 years from the land lease commencement date.
Established in July 2008, VSIP is a joint venture between Becamex Group (HOSE: BCM) and Sembcorp Development Ltd (Singapore), with BCM holding a 49% stake. VSIP is currently developing a chain of 20 industrial parks, urban areas, and service complexes, totaling approximately 12,000 hectares across Vietnam.
In late 2025, the People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province approved two IZ projects for BCM and VSIP in the Central region, with a total investment of over 8.6 trillion VND, covering nearly 990 hectares.
