The Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department under the Customs Authority has officially announced the sale of assets established as state-owned property. These assets are confiscated items from administrative violations and will be sold through a price listing method. Notably, the authorities have set a listed price for thousands of used mobile phones, with an average price per unit ranging from just a few hundred thousand Vietnamese dong.

According to the published records, the first batch, coded NY02-ĐTCBL-2026, includes 2,360 used mobile phones from brands like iPhone, OPPO, and HONOR. The total listed value of this batch is 1,362,531,800 VND. This averages to approximately 577,344 VND per phone.

Additionally, the customs authority announced a second batch, coded NY01-ĐTCBL-2026, comprising 2,540 used iPhone units with a total sale value of 2,034,949,100 VND. On average, each iPhone in this batch is priced at around 801,161 VND.

The authorities emphasize that the sale will be conducted as a whole batch for each asset package, with no individual unit sales. Payment must be made via bank transfer.

For registration, interested buyers have a 5-day window starting from January 7, 2026, to complete the necessary procedures. Registration can be done in person at the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department, 16th floor, Customs Authority Headquarters, 09 Duong Dinh Nghe Street, Yen Hoa Ward, Cau Giay District, Hanoi. Prior to this, on January 9, 2026, interested parties can inspect the assets directly at the Headquarters of Anti-Smuggling Control Team No. 4.

The registration dossier includes a request to view the assets, a purchase registration form, and a notarized copy of the Citizen Identity Card or Business Registration Certificate. After receiving the dossier, the Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department will issue a purchase registration ticket to participants. Each organization or individual can receive a maximum of 2 tickets.

Since the sale is conducted through a price listing method, in cases where multiple buyers register, the customs authority will organize a lottery to select the eligible buyer. The lottery is scheduled for 10:15 AM on January 15, 2026, at the Customs Authority Headquarters. Participants must bring their identification documents and purchase registration ticket. Absentees at the specified time will not be eligible to purchase the assets.

The customs authority also notes that the successful buyer must bear all costs related to transportation and handling of the goods. Additionally, the buyer is responsible for completing all necessary legal procedures before reintroducing the goods into the market.
