According to the Consolidated Financial Report for the mid-year period ending June 30, 2025, Halong Canfoco Joint Stock Company (Halong Canfoco – HNX: CAN) reported total short-term receivables from customers exceeding VND 46.2 billion.
Among these, WinCommerce Joint Stock Company—the operator of WinMart supermarkets and WinMart+ stores—stands out as a key customer.

Additionally, the report highlights over VND 3 billion in receivables from the Highlands Coffee subsidiary.
The remaining receivables, totaling over VND 36 billion, are attributed to other customers, including distributors and trade partners not explicitly named in the financial statement disclosures.
The company’s financial status and partnerships have come under scrutiny following the January 8, 2026, announcement by the Hai Phong City Police Investigation Agency. The agency initiated criminal proceedings and charged nine individuals, including Bùi Đức Trọng, Lê Bá Doanh, Trịnh Hà Việt, and associates from Hưng Yên, for illegally trading and transporting pork contaminated with African Swine Fever linked to the company’s warehouse.
Investigations revealed that the group collected, transported, and distributed over 130 tons of contaminated pork, with more than 120 tons ending up at Halong Canfoco’s facility located at 71 Lê Lai, Ngô Quyền District, Hai Phong City.
Inspections at Halong Canfoco’s warehouse confirmed that the company processed a significant amount of contaminated pork into canned meat products.
In response, six major retail chains in Ho Chi Minh City—Bách Hóa Xanh, Saigon Co.op, Central Retail, MM Mega Market, Genshai, and KingFood Mart—have temporarily halted sales and removed Halong Canfoco products from their shelves to ensure consumer safety. This precautionary measure will remain in place until official investigation results are released.
Halong Canfoco has issued a statement clarifying that the nine charged individuals are external collectors unaffiliated with the company. The company also asserted that the implicated batch was handled in compliance with regulations and was not used in final product manufacturing.
The Hai Phong City Police are continuing their investigation to determine the liability of all parties involved in the supply chain.
