On January 9th in Hanoi, the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) held a military-political conference to review its 2025 business operations.
Viettel’s consolidated revenue in 2025 reached 220.4 trillion VND, a 13.8% increase, contributing significantly to Vietnam’s high GDP growth. Pre-tax profit stood at 56.8 trillion VND, with 40.9 trillion VND contributed to the state budget.
In overseas markets, Viettel’s revenue grew by 23.9%, the highest in nine years. Currently, out of ten foreign investment countries, Viettel is the leading telecom operator in seven (Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, East Timor, Burundi, Haiti, and Mozambique).
Viettel’s impressive growth stems from breakthroughs across all core business areas, including research, production, and a strong alignment with national strategies for technological advancement, innovation, and digital transformation, as outlined in Resolution 57 by the Politburo.

Addressing the conference, Lieutenant General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and CEO of Viettel Group, emphasized:
“Reflecting on 2025, during the A80 customer celebration, Viettel’s customers expressed their trust and understanding that Viettel is leveraging its resources, contributed by the people, to invest in research and production, creating value for the nation and society, and elevating Vietnamese products globally. 2026 is seen as a year of action, shifting from strategic planning to execution. Therefore, Viettel’s strategy to become a global technology corporation by 2030 is clear. Our 2026 motto is ‘More Proactive, Faster, Bolder, More Effective.’ Effectiveness must be evident to customers, society, and the nation, driving Viettel’s sustainable growth.”
