After a brief trial period with a leasing model, Honda Vietnam has unveiled a new roadmap aimed at revolutionizing how consumers access their premium electric CUV e: vehicle line.
Previously, starting July 14, 2025, the company introduced a comprehensive leasing program across 19 authorized dealerships in three major cities: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. Under the old policy, customers were required to pay a deposit of 2,000,000 VND and a monthly service fee of 1,472,727 VND.
However, according to the latest update from Honda, a new sales policy is set to take effect from March 26, 2026. Instead of leasing, customers can now directly own the vehicle through two specific purchasing options. The full package, including the vehicle, two batteries, and two chargers, is priced at 65,000,000 VND.
Alternatively, budget-conscious buyers can opt for the electric vehicle without the battery for 45,000,000 VND. With this option, users will pay an additional monthly battery rental fee of 250,000 VND.

The Honda CUV e: electric scooter is set to intensify competition in the market.
This move by Honda is expected to heat up the electric vehicle market in the coming period. In the same segment and price range as the CUV e:, notable competitors include the VinFast Feliz and DatBike Quantum S1.
Technically, the Honda CUV e: is positioned as a premium electric scooter with a weight of 118 kg and overall dimensions of 1,893 x 664 x 1,101 mm. It features a seat height of 765 mm and a ground clearance of 143 mm, ensuring a comfortable riding posture and agile urban performance.
Powered by a motor with a rated output of 4.2 kW and a maximum output of 6.0 kW at 3,500 rpm, along with a peak torque of 22 Nm, the CUV e: draws its energy from two removable Honda Mobile Power Pack e: Lithium-ion batteries. Internal testing indicates a top speed of approximately 80 km/h and a range of 73 km on a single 6-hour charge.

The model boasts a modern and sleek design.
Beyond its performance specs, the CUV e: is equipped with advanced LED lighting and a 7-inch TFT screen that supports smartphone connectivity via the My Honda+ app. All transactions related to battery rental and charging station inquiries are managed through this digital platform.
Safety is ensured by the CBS braking system, while the suspension system, featuring hydraulic telescopic forks in the front and a rear swingarm, guarantees stable operation.
Alongside the shift in business model, Honda has announced plans to develop energy infrastructure to support users. The automated battery swap system, Honda e: Swap Battery Station, is expected to launch in April 2026. Subsequently, centralized charging stations with 1200W charging capacity will be deployed at dealerships in June 2026.
Daiki Mihara, Executive Director of Honda Motor Group, emphasized, “Building charging infrastructure is essential for customers to confidently operate eco-friendly vehicles.”
The transition from leasing to outright sales reflects Honda’s strategic move to commercialize its electric vehicle line in Vietnam. The combination of battery swap stations and charging infrastructure is anticipated to create a comprehensive ecosystem for Honda electric vehicle users in the near future.
