A report from the data aggregation and mining platform Metric.vn highlights the impressive growth of Halong Canfoco’s Pate Cột Đèn Hải Phòng product line throughout 2025.
Specifically, during the analyzed period from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, across four major e-commerce platforms—Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, and Tiki—the product’s total sales reached a remarkable 21 billion VND. This revenue corresponds to a total of 217,900 units sold, reflecting strong consumer demand for this canned specialty. The market recorded 64 active sellers with 226 products generating sales during this period.
In terms of market share distribution among platforms, TikTok Shop leads with a contribution of 14.3 billion VND. Shopee follows in second place with 6.3 billion VND, accounting for 30.1% of the market share.
Meanwhile, other e-commerce platforms like Lazada and Tiki recorded more modest sales figures, at 304.1 million VND and 20.9 million VND, respectively. Monthly sales growth data shows a peak in late March 2025, surpassing 2.5 billion VND. After this peak, sales stabilized between 1.5 billion VND and 2 billion VND per month in the latter half of the year.
The price range of 75,000 VND to 150,000 VND emerged as the primary revenue driver for the Pate Cột Đèn product line. Products priced between 75,000 VND and 100,000 VND contributed over 5.6 billion VND, while those priced between 100,000 VND and 150,000 VND generated more than 7.6 billion VND in sales. Consumer trends favored convenient combo packages, such as 5-pack (90g or 150g), 10-pack, and 3-pack options, often featuring discounted prices and freshness guarantees. Authorized sellers frequently offered free shipping and vouchers to attract buyers.
Additionally, Metric.vn’s report revealed a notable insight: the geographical distribution of sales. Despite the product’s name being associated with Hải Phòng, the port city was not the top-selling location on Shopee.
Ho Chi Minh City led with a dominant 4.55 billion VND in sales. Hải Phòng followed in second place with 652.4 million VND, closely trailed by Hải Dương at 480.8 million VND and Hanoi at 423.4 million VND. Other regions like Long An, Cần Thơ, and Thanh Hóa also contributed, albeit with significantly lower sales shares.
