According to the proposal drafted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the National Spring Fair is scheduled to take place over 5 days, from February 4th to 8th, at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC) in Dong Anh, Hanoi. The fair’s theme is “Connecting Prosperity – A Glorious Spring.”

Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the National Spring Fair aims to promote and stimulate domestic product consumption, while creating a new momentum as the nation welcomes the Year of the Horse, entering a new era for the country.

The Deputy Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to incorporate feedback from the meeting and urgently finalize the proposal by January 9th for submission to the Prime Minister for approval.

Regarding the duration, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested extending the fair from 5 days to one week to allow more domestic and international visitors to attend and shop, thereby enhancing the event’s effectiveness.

Additionally, the Deputy Prime Minister tasked the Ministry of Industry and Trade with coordinating with the People’s Committees of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, as well as the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, to finalize the overall design and layout of exhibition zones. This will serve as a basis for ministries, localities, and businesses to detail their respective zones and ensure a balanced product display without duplication.

For financing, the Deputy Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to prepare a budget estimate, clearly outlining support items, contents, and levels for participating ministries, localities, and businesses.

Specifically, in 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed that the Government assign the Ministry to coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies, localities, and units to organize four national fairs, including: the Second National Spring Fair 2026; the Third National Fair – International Exhibition on Construction Materials, Transportation, Real Estate, Industrial Machinery, and Interior Decor; the Fourth National Fair – Summer 2026; and the Fifth National Fair – Autumn 2026.

Notably, these fairs will cover the entire Kim Quy Exhibition Area at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, with an indoor area of over 100,000 m², including 10 exhibition halls (each approximately 10,000 m², equivalent to about 3,000 standard booths) and outdoor space.
