On January 7, 2026, VinFast Production and Business Joint Stock Company announced changes to its business registration, including an increase in its charter capital.
Accordingly, the company’s charter capital was adjusted from VND 50,793 billion to VND 80,793 billion.
Among the shareholders, VinFast Auto Ltd (based in Singapore) maintained its capital contribution of nearly VND 9,415 billion, but its ownership stake decreased from 18.53% to 11.66%.
Following this adjustment, VinFast’s charter capital surpassed that of Vingroup Corporation (VND 77,335 billion).

VinFast was established in 2017 by Vingroup Joint Stock Company with the goal of becoming a Vietnamese automotive manufacturer targeting the global market. Initially, VinFast produced vehicles with traditional engines, but since 2021, the company has focused exclusively on electric vehicles, aligning with global trends.
As of November 2025, VinFast had delivered 147,450 electric vehicles to the Vietnamese market since the beginning of the year, significantly contributing to its goal of doubling global sales compared to 2024.
On December 31, 2025, the VinFast Hai Phong Automobile Production Complex officially rolled out its 200,000th electric vehicle of the year.
The 200,000th vehicle to roll off the production line at the VinFast Hai Phong factory in 2025 was the Limo Green, a 7-seat all-electric MPV that achieved sales of 9,642 units in November 2025 alone. This model also set a record for the highest monthly sales volume in the history of Vietnam’s automotive industry, contributing to VinFast’s unprecedented sales milestone.
The 200,000 vehicles produced at the VinFast Hai Phong factory in 2025 include both domestic sales and exports to international markets. In addition to the Hai Phong complex, VinFast also operated three other factories in Ha Tinh (Vietnam), Tamil Nadu (India), and West Java (Indonesia) during 2025.
Recently, several companies within the Vingroup ecosystem have also increased their capital. In October 2025, VinEnergo (Vingroup’s energy subsidiary) raised its capital from VND 10,000 billion to VND 28,335 billion. Of this, 44.59% (VND 12,133.9 billion) was contributed in cash, while the remaining 55.41% (VND 15,701.1 billion) was contributed through other assets.
In November 2025, VinMetal, a steel production company, increased its charter capital from VND 10,000 billion to VND 15,000 billion. VinSpeed also raised its capital to VND 33,000 billion from VND 31,200 billion.
