Hyundai Tucson 1.6 Turbo: A Closer Look at the Best-Selling Model of 2025

According to a recent report from Hyundai Thanh Cong, the South Korean automaker concluded 2025 with a remarkable 53,229 vehicles sold. In December 2025 alone, 6,704 units were delivered to customers, marking a 22.7% increase compared to the previous month. This record-breaking month solidified Hyundai’s position as a market leader.

The year-end sales surge significantly contributed to Hyundai Thanh Cong’s overall performance, showcasing positive shifts in key market segments.

Hyundai’s Record-Breaking Sales in December 2025: A Visual Breakdown

A standout highlight from the report is the shift in the top-selling model for the year. The Hyundai Tucson emerged as the best-selling vehicle in 2025, with a total of 9,243 units sold, accounting for 17.36% of overall sales. Since its introduction in Vietnam, the Tucson has been a strategic model for Hyundai in the C-segment crossover category, competing fiercely with the Mazda CX-5, Honda CR-V, and the recently launched Ford Territory.

Closely following in the rankings is the Hyundai Creta, with 9,046 units sold, representing 17% of total sales. In December, the Creta achieved its highest monthly sales, with 1,696 units sold, a 37.2% increase compared to November.

The Tucson’s rise to the top, despite being in a higher segment than the Creta, can be attributed to several factors. Firstly, aggressive discount programs enhanced its appeal, encouraging buyers to upgrade from B-segment to C-segment vehicles. Currently, the Tucson starts at just 769 million VND, only 50 million VND more than the top-tier Creta.

Additionally, the Tucson offers superior advantages, including a spacious interior, a range of engine options (gasoline, diesel, turbo), and advanced safety features. Lastly, the mindset of “investing in a long-term purchase” has led customers to prioritize the Tucson for its stability and premium driving experience.

Despite Its Affordability, the Creta Couldn’t Surpass the Tucson’s Sales Milestone

Another significant contributor to the year’s success was the Hyundai Accent, with 7,088 units delivered. Once Hyundai’s top-selling model for years, the Accent now ranks third, reflecting a growing consumer preference for SUVs over sedans in Vietnam.

Other models, such as the Grand i10, Stargazer, Venue, and Santa Fe, recorded December sales ranging from 242 to 381 units. Models like the Custin, Palisade, and Elantra maintained steady sales, contributing to the overall passenger car segment. Meanwhile, the commercial vehicle segment achieved impressive results, with 1,218 units sold in December, bringing the annual total to 12,882 units.

To sustain the momentum from 2025, Hyundai Thanh Cong has launched new strategies for 2026. The company has introduced an extended warranty of up to 8 years or 120,000 km, along with price discounts of up to 220 million VND. These initiatives, coupled with 0% interest financing options, are expected to further stimulate customer purchasing decisions in the coming year.
