Scenic Red River Boulevard in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The Standing Committee of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee has unanimously agreed to study the development of the
Red River Scenic Boulevard, a long-term strategic planning initiative aimed at restructuring spatial development and enhancing connectivity with Hanoi and the Northern Region.

According to the plan, the Red River Scenic Boulevard will not merely serve as a transportation route but as a comprehensive spatial axis integrating transportation, landscape, architecture, and economic and service activities.

The establishment of this boulevard is expected to effectively leverage the
ecological advantages along the Red River, while providing new momentum for sustainable urban and industrial development.

Phu Tho’s leadership emphasizes that the study of the Red River Scenic Boulevard holds significant importance as the province proactively expands its development space and strengthens regional linkages. Through the Red River corridor,
Phu Tho will directly and more conveniently connect with Hanoi, thereby repositioning its role within the Northern Region’s urban-industrial network.

The initiative to study this boulevard is being implemented alongside the review and adjustment of several key infrastructure projects in the area. The Standing Committee has approved investment in the Viet Tri Eco-Sports Urban Area, adjusted the zoning plan for the Cam Khe Industrial Park, approved the infrastructure project for the Phu Ninh Industrial Park, and adjusted the access road to the Yen Quang Industrial Park.

These projects are required to be seamlessly integrated into the overall planning to ensure harmonious development among urban areas, industries, and services.

The Standing Committee of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee has tasked the Provincial People’s Committee and specialized agencies with conducting thorough and scientific research and implementation of the planning contents. They are also to strictly adhere to land,
environmental, and site clearance procedures, ensuring the lawful rights and interests of the local population.

Phu Tho’s proactive move is seen as a strategic step, especially as Hanoi has already commenced its Red River Scenic Boulevard project.
