From “Outsourcing” to Equal Partnerships

As the sole technology company representative speaking at the conference, the CMC Chairman reported a 30% growth in international markets and a 34% profit increase in 2025. CMC operates in 30 countries with offices in over 10 nations. The company has established a U.S. subsidiary and is processing office openings in key states like Illinois, California, Texas, and Florida, with plans to expand further in 2026.

Drawing from direct experience with global clients and partners, he emphasized: “It’s time to present a ‘New Vietnam’ to the world.” According to the CMC leader, this “New Vietnam” should be seen as a trusted technology partner—not just a source of low-cost labor or outsourcing, but a nation capable of delivering innovative products, solutions, and intellectual value. This includes collaborating on cutting-edge technologies like AI on an equal footing.

He argued that positioning Vietnam correctly and communicating this consistently would boost initial market confidence in Vietnamese businesses. This, in turn, would facilitate international partnerships and business expansion. When partners trust Vietnam’s capabilities and standards, companies can secure larger, long-term contracts at higher value levels, rather than being limited to subcontractor roles.

2025 Review and 2026 Goals: Building a Go Global Ecosystem and Prioritizing Strategic Technologies

The Prime Minister called for finalizing the Go Global support program for Vietnamese businesses and developing a comprehensive ecosystem of services—covering finance, logistics, human resources, and legal consulting—with a focus on SMEs. He also emphasized accelerating international cooperation in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and green transition, prioritizing strategic technologies such as cloud computing, AI, and semiconductors.

Aligning with the Prime Minister’s directives, the CMC Chairman proposed addressing key challenges faced by Vietnamese tech firms going global: compliance barriers, a lack of supportive ecosystems (legal, financial, human resources, risk insurance), and limited high-tech “national branding,” which slows partnership opportunities despite advanced technical capabilities.

Based on his experience with high-level delegations and leading tech corporations, he stressed that international cooperation should go beyond training. Vietnam must promote technology transfer, joint research, product development, and commercialization, enabling domestic companies to fully integrate into global value chains.

Proposing a “New Vietnam Identity” to Empower Tech Companies

The CMC Chairman’s keynote focused on creating a national program to rebrand Vietnam globally—not as a slogan, but as an actionable, measurable “identity” that translates into market opportunities.

This identity should answer three critical questions: How does Vietnam want to be perceived in the tech era? What standards will it commit to for partner trust? And what collaboration models will it adopt to create new value?

To ensure the program’s success, he suggested:

Crafting a consistent national message on tech capabilities: Highlight Vietnam’s dynamism, ambition, and strong tech expertise, positioning it as a global partner in strategic fields like AI.

Expanding from training to technology transfer: Encourage government-led models that progress from workforce training to joint research, development, and technology transfer, fostering core tech capabilities and advancing the “Make in Vietnam” strategy.

Strengthening ties with strategic tech partners: Leverage government support to connect Vietnamese firms with global tech leaders (e.g., NVIDIA, AWS, Microsoft), expanding international collaboration opportunities.

In closing, the CMC Chairman reaffirmed the company’s commitment to becoming a global AI-focused leader and pledged to work with government representatives and international partners to elevate Vietnam’s standing in the global tech landscape.
