According to the approved plan, a 30-minute fireworks display at the National Stadium in My Dinh on the evening of January 23, 2026, will be entirely funded through social contributions rather than the state budget.
To support this significant political event, Sun Group has mobilized a firepower arsenal of nearly 10,000 fireworks units. This includes 4,600 high-altitude fireworks as the main feature, combined with 950 flower-spraying racks and 4,400 pyrotechnic fireworks tubes to create multi-layered artistic effects.
Security and logistics have been meticulously assigned. The Capital Command, alongside relevant agencies from the Ministry of Defense, is responsible for inspecting the quality and origin of imported fireworks from Sun Group and Chemical Company 21, as well as vetting the team of foreign experts.
Regarding infrastructure, the Department of Culture and Sports will install an LED projection system at the Square, while the People’s Committee of Tu Liem Ward will handle land clearance, sanitation, and lighting to facilitate equipment assembly and fireworks deployment by the Group.
Sun Group’s selection for this critical task comes as no surprise to observers, given its leading position in Vietnam’s high-tech fireworks and display industry by 2026.
The Group’s capabilities are firmly established through its flagship event, the annual Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF). Notably, DIFF 2025 marked a historic milestone as the largest festival to date, featuring 10 international teams competing over 6 nights. The ongoing 2026 season, themed “Connecting Horizons,” further cements Da Nang’s reputation as the “Fireworks Capital” along the Han River.
Beyond periodic festivals, Sun Group pioneers the “illumination” of the night economy with high-tech real-scene fireworks shows. In Phu Quoc, Sunset Town has become a global destination with multimedia spectacles like “Kiss of the Sea,” featuring sea water screens and an infinite stage, and “Symphony of the Sea,” a unique fusion of fireworks, water music, and extreme sports (Jetski & Flyboard).
