The road features a 6-lane design, complete with sidewalks, greenery, and parks, significantly enhancing urban aesthetics and traffic flow.

The road’s opening follows the completion of all construction phases and adjustments made to preserve the historic Vo Ha Thanh Villa.

This new route creates a vital transportation axis, connecting with Nguyen Van Tri Street and alleviating traffic congestion. It also includes three ferry terminals for integrated water transportation.

During its development, the Dong Nai Riverside Road project underwent adjustments to reroute the section passing through the Vo Ha Thanh Villa, ensuring the preservation of this historic landmark.

In addition to the 6-lane road, the project includes parks and riverside walkways

Initially, the project’s plan required the partial demolition of the Vo Ha Thanh Villa (built in 1825), encroaching approximately 9 meters into the structure.

However, experts and historians advocated for adjustments to preserve the villa, emphasizing its cultural, historical, and architectural significance.

A highlight of the road is the century-old villa preserved for its historical value

The Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee tasked the Department of Construction with reviewing and proposing preservation options for the Vo Ha Thanh Villa. The department suggested four alternatives, including rerouting the road to safeguard the villa. This proposal was approved and implemented.

Adjacent to the road is the Dong Nai River, a vital waterway connecting Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City
