Recently, the Government issued Decree No. 13/2026/NĐ-CP on January 13, 2026, amending and supplementing several articles and appendices of Decree No. 62/2024/NĐ-CP dated June 7, 2024. This decree further amends and supplements certain articles and appendices of Decree No. 94/2016/NĐ-CP dated July 1, 2016, which details and guides the implementation of specific provisions of the Statistics Law. It also relates to Decree No. 94/2022/NĐ-CP dated November 7, 2022, which specifies the content of statistical indicators within the national statistical indicator system and the compilation process for gross domestic product (GDP) and gross regional domestic product (GRDP) indicators.
Under Decree No. 13/2026/NĐ-CP, the Government has revised the publication schedule for several key statistical reports by the central statistical agency compared to Decree No. 62/2024/NĐ-CP dated June 7, 2024. These changes aim to ensure the timely collection and compilation of statistical information to support the management and administration of Party committees, the Government, the Prime Minister, and local authorities at all levels.
Specifically, the decree stipulates that the official Consumer Price Index (CPI) data will be published on the 3rd day of the month following the reporting month (previously set for the 6th day under Decree No. 62/2024/NĐ-CP).
Estimated data on the proportion of trained workers with degrees or certificates will be published on the 3rd day of the month following the reporting quarter (previously the 6th day under Decree No. 62/2024/NĐ-CP).
Preliminary data on the proportion of trained workers with degrees or certificates will be published on the 3rd day of the first month of the second quarter following the reporting quarter (previously the 6th day under Decree No. 62/2024/NĐ-CP).
Estimated unemployment rate data will be published on the 3rd day of the month following the reporting quarter (previously the 6th day under Decree No. 62/2024/NĐ-CP).
Preliminary unemployment rate data will be published on the 3rd day of the first month of the second quarter following the reporting quarter (previously the 6th day under Decree No. 62/2024/NĐ-CP).
Monthly, quarterly (Q1, Q2, and 6 months), Q3 and 9 months, Q4 and annual socio-economic reports will be published on the 3rd day of the month following the reporting period (previously the 6th day under Decree No. 62/2024/NĐ-CP).
Changes in GDP and GRDP Data Release Schedule
Additionally, Decree No. 13/2026/NĐ-CP advances the release dates for GDP and GRDP data compared to Decree No. 62/2024/NĐ-CP. Specifically, GDP data release is moved from the 6th to the 3rd day, and GRDP data release is moved from the 1st to the 29th of the preceding month.

Estimated Q2, 6-month, and first full-year estimate; preliminary Q1 data: July 3rd of the reporting year;
Estimated Q3 and 9-month data; preliminary Q2 and 6-month data: October 3rd of the reporting year;
Estimated Q4 and second full-year estimate; preliminary Q3 and 9-month data: January 3rd of the following year;
Preliminary full-year data: October 3rd of the following year;
Official full-year and quarterly data: October 3rd of the second year following the reporting year.
GRDP Data Release Schedule
a) Estimated Q1 data; preliminary Q4 data of the previous year: March 29th of the reporting year;
b) Estimated Q2, 6-month, and first full-year estimate; preliminary Q1 data: June 29th of the reporting year;
c) Estimated Q3 and 9-month data; preliminary Q2 and 6-month data: September 29th of the reporting year;
d) Estimated Q4 and second full-year estimate; preliminary Q3 and 9-month data: November 29th of the reporting year;
e) Preliminary full-year data: September 29th of the following year;
f) Official full-year and quarterly data: September 29th of the second year following the reporting year.
This decree takes effect from April 10, 2026.

Vietnam’s GDP Growth Projected to Hit 8.02% in 2025
At the press conference announcing the socio-economic statistics for the fourth quarter and the year 2025 on the afternoon of January 5th, the General Statistics Office under the Ministry of Finance revealed that Vietnam’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2025 experienced robust growth, with an estimated increase of 8.02% compared to the previous year. This growth rate stands as the second highest within the 2011-2025 period, surpassed only by the growth achieved in 2022.

The latest data from the Statistics Bureau (Ministry of Finance) reveals that Vietnam’s GDP in 2025 experienced robust growth, with an estimated increase of 8.02% compared to the previous year.
