Second place goes to submission TN268 by Thanh Cong Hanoi Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, and third place to submission DC6868 by HT Vietnam Construction Consulting LLC.
First-place design for Gia Bẩy Bridge
The Provincial People’s Committee has directed the Department of Construction, the Project Management Unit for Transport and Agriculture, and relevant localities to proceed with the next steps based on the approved decision. This ensures compliance with regulations and lays the groundwork for the bridge’s design and construction in the near future.
Current state of Gia Bẩy Bridge before reconstruction
Constructed over 50 years ago, Gia Bẩy Bridge suffered significant damage during the October 2025 floods, when river levels exceeded its load capacity. Several components showed signs of deterioration, compromising safety. As a result, Thai Nguyen Province temporarily banned all vehicle traffic for inspection and reassessment.
The Thai Nguyen Provincial People’s Committee has allocated over 617 billion VND for the urgent construction of a new Gia Bẩy Bridge to replace the deteriorating existing structure. Following the design competition, the province will expedite the construction of the new bridge.
