The trial was conducted under tight security measures, with strict control over entry to the courtroom. The courtroom itself was small, and attendance was limited to those summoned. Filming and photography were also strictly regulated in accordance with legal provisions.
Clarifying Acts of Privacy Invasion
According to the indictment, in 2021, Ms. Lan used her personal YouTube account, “Lan Đinh,” to upload six videos containing false information, unverified claims, or content that invaded personal privacy. These statements were deemed to severely damage the reputation and honor of Nguyen Phuong Hang and her husband, Huynh Uy Dung.

Prosecutors asserted that Ms. Lan’s actions not only violated the legal rights of individuals but also breached the 2018 Cybersecurity Law, negatively impacting social security and order.

During the trial, Ms. Hang and her spouse, along with Dai Nam Joint Stock Company and the Hang Huu Charity Fund, were summoned as parties with related rights and obligations.
