Today (January 16), the People’s Court of Zone 7 in Ho Chi Minh City opened the first-instance trial of defendant Dinh Thi Lan (49 years old, owner of the YouTube channel Lan Đinh) on charges of “Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, lawful rights, and interests of organizations and individuals” under Article 331 of the Penal Code. The case is linked to the spouses of Nguyen Phuong Hang.
