The Le Loi Street renovation project in Hai Phong City spans 1.36km, connecting the Cau Dat – Lach Tray – To Hieu intersection with the Le Hong Phong – Da Nang six-way intersection. Beginning in mid-2025, the road is being widened by an average of 2 meters on each side to ensure a minimum width of 12 meters, with 3-meter sidewalks on both sides, facilitating two-way traffic for all vehicle types.

As a central urban artery in Hai Phong, Le Loi Street has long been a one-way route for vehicles traveling from Le Hong Phong to the Lach Tray – To Hieu – Cau Dat intersection. The expansion will alleviate congestion, enabling smooth two-way traffic between the city’s major thoroughfares, Lach Tray and Le Hong Phong.

Ahead of the official two-way launch, crews are hastily painting pedestrian crossings, two-way vehicle lane markings, and installing warning and guidance signs.

This vital artery connects Hai Phong’s two largest thoroughfares, Lach Tray and Le Hong Phong, often leading to severe congestion. Construction activities generate significant dust, further complicating vehicle movement.

Workers are painting white pedestrian crossing lines, preparing for the official two-way opening on the morning of January 30, 2026.

Numerous traffic signs and guidance boards are being installed along Le Loi Street. Residents are eagerly anticipating the completion, which is several months ahead of schedule.

From Le Hong Phong to Lach Tray – Cau Dat, heavy vehicle traffic is typical. Post-renovation, vehicles can travel from Lach Tray – To Hieu into Le Loi Street to reach the Le Hong Phong – Da Nang intersection. This shortens travel time and distance between Hai Phong’s busiest roads.

Before the official two-way launch, traffic on Le Loi Street is chaotic due to incomplete signage and the absence of traffic enforcement.

The Lach Tray – To Hieu – Cau Dat intersection is a critical traffic hub in Hai Phong’s urban core. The Le Loi Street expansion will alleviate congestion, reduce travel times, and shorten distances between major roads like Le Hong Phong, Lach Tray, and Tran Nguyen Han.

From the Lach Tray – Cau Dat – To Hieu intersection, a 1.3km drive leads to the bustling Le Hong Phong – Da Nang area. This route also provides easy access to Vu Yen urban area, the seaport, and the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway.
