On January 29, 2026, Hoa Phat Urban Development and Construction Joint Stock Company signed a strategic tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hero Future Energies Vietnam (HFE) and Horus Power Energy Corporation.

The agreement aims to develop rooftop solar power systems in industrial zones invested and operated by Hoa Phat.

Under the partnership, HFE and Horus Power will invest, install, and operate solar power systems following the IPP model (Invest-Own-Operate) in Hoa Phat’s industrial park factories, meeting stringent technical and safety requirements.

Businesses, particularly multinational corporations in Hoa Phat’s industrial parks, have a significant demand for renewable energy and green certificates (I-REC) to meet global export standards.

Mr. Tran Kien Cuong, Director of Hoa Phat Urban Development and Construction Joint Stock Company, stated that the FDI wave shifting to Vietnam brings stricter demands for sustainable development. He noted that collaborating with HFE and Horus Power not only helps Hoa Phat efficiently utilize factory rooftops but also provides practical clean energy solutions for infrastructure tenants. This move demonstrates Hoa Phat’s commitment to supporting businesses in achieving Net Zero goals and enhancing the competitiveness of its industrial parks.

Currently, Hoa Phat is successfully operating Hoa Mac (Ninh Binh), Pho Noi A, and Yen My II (Hung Yen) industrial parks with an average occupancy rate of approximately 95%, while Hoa Mac has reached 100% leased area. Simultaneously, the Group continues to invest in infrastructure at Industrial Park No. 6, Ly Thuong Kiet (Hung Yen), Hoang Dieu (Hai Phong), and Dong Phuc (Bac Ninh), solidifying its position in industrial park development.

As for the partners, HFE is India’s leading renewable energy company, with a global asset portfolio totaling approximately 7.5 GW, backed by strategic shareholders including IFC (World Bank) and KKR, an international investment firm.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Oman Singh, HFE’s Southeast Asia Director, emphasized that HFE prioritizes Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and is committed to delivering advanced technology solutions, ensuring stable and safe operations for both people and facilities.

Beyond rooftop solar projects, Hoa Phat and HFE plan to expand their research and cooperation into energy storage (BESS) and large-scale renewable energy projects in the future.

Previously, Hoa Phat implemented several rooftop solar projects at its subsidiaries, including Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel, Hoa Phat Long An Steel Pipe, and Hoa Phat Sheet Metal, to enhance production energy autonomy and promote renewable energy use across the Group.
