The Daikin Air Tower stands as a benchmark project, showcasing Daikin’s cutting-edge technologies, green standards, and sustainable development philosophy in real-world operation.
A Benchmark for Green Technology by Daikin
Aligned with its “Environmental Vision 2050” and the goal of achieving net-zero emissions, Daikin adopts a practical approach: implementing its full suite of technologies within its own headquarters to validate their effectiveness before market release.
A green building certified with the highest standards: WELL, LEED, and LOTUS Platinum.
The technical highlight is the Hybrid HVAC system, combining Chiller and VRV technologies. This innovative air conditioning solution merges the strengths of both systems (Chiller for high loads, VRV for variable loads), enabling the building to consume only 94 kWh/m²/year—a 29% reduction compared to ASHRAE standards. The building envelope, featuring sunshade louvers and Low-E glass, achieves exceptional thermal insulation with a U-value of 1.59 W/m²K.
Operations are optimized 24/7 by the AI-driven iPlant Manager, which monitors and optimizes cooling in real time, alongside a solar panel system contributing 4.24% of total energy savings. Additionally, the reuse of 600 m³ of rainwater and the use of low-VOC interior materials not only protect the environment but also create a healthy, comfortable workspace.

This integration of technologies ensures a stable, comfortable working environment year-round, with clean air and minimal noise, contributing to sustainable community values.
Setting Global Workplace Standards for Human Health
Achieving WELL Platinum—completing the prestigious trio of LEED, LOTUS, and WELL certifications—underscores Daikin’s commitment to prioritizing its 600+ employees in its long-term strategy.
Highlighting this milestone, Mr. Inoue from Nikken Sekkei, the design consultant and WELL certifier, remarked: “Daikin Air Tower becoming Vietnam’s first WELL Platinum-certified building demonstrates Daikin’s dedication not only to building efficiency but also to employee health and well-being through consistent, long-term operational policies.”
This commitment is realized through Biophilic and Universal Design principles, combined with international technical standards: advanced air quality control (maintaining CO₂ below 1,000 ppm, fine dust filtration), smart lighting at 500 lux, and low-emission, safe interior materials.
Ergonomic office chairs throughout the workspace.
Beyond design and technology, Daikin Air Tower is organized by floor with clear functions: Floor 6 includes a cafeteria, gym, nap area, and kids’ playroom; Floors 7-8 offer rentable office space (~900 m²/floor); and Floors 9-11 house Daikin’s offices, furnished with premium Okamura interiors.
This comprehensive investment fosters an ideal work environment, safeguarding physical and mental health while ensuring long-term productivity.
A Hub for Knowledge Sharing and Innovation
Beyond a traditional office, Daikin Air Tower serves as a Technology & Partner Hub, offering immersive tech demonstrations for clients and partners:
Floor 1 – FUHA Saigon: An art gallery merged with a coffee culture space, where technology is experienced through multisensory, relaxed interactions.
Floor 2 – Solution Plaza: A B2B solution showcase simulating real-world spaces like apartments and offices, enabling clients to observe equipment in action for informed decisions.
Floor 3 – Training Center: Equipped with a large-scale Service Lab, this center hosts intensive training on VRV and Chiller system installation and operation, enhancing Vietnam’s HVAC workforce.
