The Hanoi City Traffic Police Department announces the schedule for legal examinations on road traffic order and safety to restore driver’s license points as follows:
1. Location: Headquarters of the Examination and Driver’s License Issuance Team – Hanoi City Traffic Police Department (2 Phung Hung Street, Ha Dong District, Hanoi).
2. Time: 08:00 every Tuesday and Thursday (except public holidays) from January 20, 2026, to February 19, 2026.
3. Requirements for examinees: Attendees must arrive on time at the designated location as notified by the competent authority and bring one of the following documents for verification against the application form: citizen ID card, driver’s license, identity certificate (for Vietnamese individuals with undetermined nationality), or residence card (for foreigners).
If personal information is integrated into the electronic citizen ID card or the national electronic identification and authentication system, it will be used for cross-referencing with the application form.
The Hanoi City Traffic Police Department advises registered examinees to participate at the specified time and location as required.

The New Traffic Rules: From 2025, Disobeying Traffic Signals Will Lead to Both a Fine and License Points Deduction
The new decree 168/2024/ND-CP, effective from January 1, 2025, introduces a demerit point system for traffic violations. Drivers will face administrative penalties and have 2 to 10 points deducted from their driving licenses. Failure to obey traffic signals or the instructions of a traffic controller, as well as driving against the flow of traffic, will result in a 4-point deduction.
