During the meeting with coal industry workers, the General Secretary emphasized that the coal and mineral sector must continue to innovate production organization, promote mechanization, automation, and digital transformation in mine management and operations.
The General Secretary stressed that the spirit of
“Discipline and Unity”
must be translated into technological discipline, safety discipline, and labor discipline, making these mandatory requirements in production organization to reduce resource losses, minimize downtime, and enhance machinery, equipment, and labor efficiency.
According to the General Secretary, the industry must link productivity growth with income increase and worker welfare improvement. Enhancing worker livelihoods should be closely tied to boosting productivity and production efficiency, ensuring a balance of interests among the State, enterprises, and workers. Workers’ income, wages, and bonuses must accurately reflect their labor value, skill levels, and contributions. Additionally, robust incentives should be provided for outstanding and innovative workers with strong discipline.
The General Secretary also urged attention to workers’ living conditions, housing, healthcare, education, and cultural needs, alongside income considerations.
