2026 Investment Opportunity: 12 Renewable Energy Plants & 1 High-Tech Agriculture Project – Totaling 30.5 Trillion VND

During the week of January 17-23, 2026, three provinces and cities attracted investment for 15 projects, totaling nearly 52.8 trillion VND. The most notable among these is a high-tech agricultural project in Dong Nai, boasting a massive investment of 30.5 trillion VND.

Gia Lai: 12 Renewable Energy Projects

The Department of Finance in Gia Lai has announced plans to invite investment interest in 12 renewable energy projects, including wind and solar power plants, with a combined capacity of nearly 708MW and a total investment of approximately VND 21.9 trillion.

Wind power projects dominate, with 8 plants totaling 508MW in capacity and an investment of nearly VND 18.5 trillion.

Notable projects include the Xa Trang Wind Power Plant (Phase 1 and 2), each with a capacity of 100MW, located in KDang commune. Phase 1 requires an investment of over VND 3.408 trillion, while Phase 2 needs more than VND 3.3505 trillion.

The Nhon Hoa 3 and Nhon Hoa 4 wind power plants, both with a capacity of 42MW, are situated in Ia Len and Chu Puh communes, with investments of VND 1.720 trillion and VND 1.678 trillion, respectively.

Similarly, the Ia Ko 1 and Ia Ko 2 wind power plants, each with a 42MW capacity, are located in Ia Len, Ia Ko, and Chu Puh communes, requiring investments of over VND 1.562 trillion and VND 1.4045 trillion, respectively.

Additionally, the An Thanh Gia Lai Wind Power Plant (40MW) in Dak Po commune has an investment of over VND 1.586 trillion, while the Bo Ngoong Wind Power Plant (100MW) in Ia Bang and Bo Ngoong communes requires nearly VND 3.765 trillion.

In the solar energy sector, 4 projects with a combined capacity of nearly 200MW and an investment of over VND 3.4 trillion are also open for investment.

The Nhon Hoa 1 Solar Power Plant, with a capacity of 49MW, is located in Ia Le commune and requires an investment of VND 836 billion, expected to generate approximately 90,296 MWh of clean energy annually.

The Nhon Hoa 2 Solar Power Plant, with a larger capacity of 90MW, is situated in the same commune, requiring VND 1.545 trillion and projected to produce around 165,147 MWh/year.

The Nhon Hoa 1A Solar Power Plant, equipped with a battery storage system, has a capacity of 49MW and an investment of VND 831 billion, expected to generate approximately 90,272 MWh/year while contributing to local budget revenue.

The remaining project is the Ia Rsuom – Bitexco – ToNa Solar Power Plant, with a capacity of 11.84MW in Uar commune, requiring an investment of over VND 198 billion.

These 12 wind and solar power plants will supply clean energy from renewable sources to the national grid, enhancing national energy security and supporting Gia Lai’s socio-economic development. They will also reduce energy losses in the transmission system. The projects have a 50-year operational lifespan from the land lease decision date.

Da Nang: 2 Residential Projects

The Da Nang Department of Finance has announced investment opportunities for two residential projects in Nam Phuoc commune. The Hoa Binh Residential Area, spanning 7.7 hectares, targets a population of 800 with a total investment of VND 111 billion.

The Duy Phuoc Residential Area, covering 6 hectares, aims to accommodate 450 residents with an investment of VND 75.5 billion.

Both projects have a maximum operational period of 50 years and are scheduled for implementation from 2026 to 2029.

Dong Nai: 1 High-Tech Agricultural Project

The People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province has announced plans to invite investment for a high-tech livestock, agricultural production, and processing project in Thuan Loi commune. The investor selection process is set to begin in Q1/2026.

The project site covers approximately 1,500 hectares, primarily used for perennial crops like rubber and other long-term plants.

Strategically located near the 40-hectare Suoi Lam Lake, the site has direct access to DT 741 Road and the planned DT 758 route from Binh Long to Thuan Phu. It is also served by 500kV and 110kV power lines.

The project aims to establish a large-scale high-tech agricultural zone, integrating livestock, cultivation, processing, storage, and distribution to create a closed value chain. This will enhance agricultural product value and ensure food safety and quality control.

With a total investment of VND 30.5 trillion, the project has a maximum operational period of 50 years. Implementation is divided into phases, with full operation expected by Q2/2029.
