The BYD Yuan UP small electric SUV has arrived at dealerships in China before its official launch in March.
The BYD Yuan UP is the latest model in the Dynasty line. This small electric SUV is built on the e-Platform 3.0 and is slightly larger than the Hyundai Kona EV.
The BYD Yuan UP has dimensions of 4,310 x 1,830 x 1,675 (mm) in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm.
The exterior of the car is similar to the previous renderings, with black pillars, a floating roof, a sturdy front bumper, LED headlights, and a single rear light cluster.
The interior of the car has also been revealed through dealership images, including a 4-spoke D-cut steering wheel, an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, a heads-up display, and a 12.8-inch center screen that can rotate vertically.
The BYD Yuan UP also features amenities such as a sunroof, wireless charger, crystal gear lever, a pair of cup holders, and physical buttons including Start/Stop, AutoHold, Hazard Lights,…
All seats are leather with ventilation, and the driver’s and front passenger seats are electrically adjustable. The second row has armrests, and the third row has headrests.
The luggage compartment has a large capacity compared to its size. However, the trunk still has a limitation that it is prone to scratches.
The Yuan UP has two electric motor options with power outputs of 70 kW and 130 kW, similar to the BYD Dolphin. The maximum speed of the car is 160 km/h. In addition, this small electric SUV has two LFP battery options from FinDreams with capacities of 32 kWh and 45.1 kWh, providing a range of 301 – 401 km per charge.
The BYD Yuan UP small electric SUV will be officially launched in China in March with an expected price starting from 100,000 NDT (about 342 million VND).
