Land-scarce province to have 750 billion VND industrial cluster near the most advanced highway in the North

A new industrial cluster project covering an area of 61.8 hectares and with a total investment of over VND 750 billion is being welcomed in the Northern key economic region.

The People’s Committee of Gia Loc district, Hai Duong province has announced the detailed construction plan of the Yết Kiêu industrial cluster.

The Yết Kiêu industrial cluster has a total area of 61.8 hectares and is located in the Yết Kiêu, Lê Lợi and Gia Lộc town.

The planning boundary consists of: the North borders provincial road 395, the South borders the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway, the East borders the new urban area to the south (Hai Duong city) and the West borders the residential area and agricultural land of Yết Kiêu commune.

The industries operating in the Yết Kiêu industrial cluster are agriculture processing, food, supporting industries, traditional crafts… with high technology, advanced, environmentally friendly. These industries attract investment suitable for the project of high-tech industry development, supporting industry in the period 2021-2025, aiming towards 2030.

The project implementation progress is 24 months from the date of investment decision.

Prior to that, on February 22, 2020, the People’s Committee of Hai Duong province approved the establishment of the Yết Kiêu industrial cluster by Gia Lộc Production and Trading Co., Ltd. as the investor with a total investment of nearly 752 billion VND for the infrastructure construction of the industrial cluster.

Hai Duong belongs to the key economic region in the North, bordering 6 provinces: Bac Giang, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, and Thai Binh. Hai Duong’s natural area is 1,668.2 km2 (ranking 51st out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide). Meanwhile, with nearly 2 million people, Hai Duong’s population ranks 8th nationwide, only after Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Dong Nai, and Binh Duong. With a young population structure, the province has an abundant labor force. Hung Yen also ranks fourth in the country in terms of population density, following Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Bac Ninh.

With its strategic location in the center of the Red River Delta; having a convenient transportation system for roads, railways, and waterways, Hai Duong creates favorable conditions for the province to develop industries, agriculture, tourism, and have a large labor force with high professional qualifications.
