On February 7 (or December 28 of the lunar calendar), social media platforms were buzzing and excited about the rehearsal of the “Thang Long’s Brilliance” light art performance with 2,024 drones in Hanoi. Specifically, at 9:30 PM on Tet Eve, in the sky of the capital city, 2,024 drones illuminated simultaneously, creating a colorful picture.

Named “Hanoi Light Art Festival – Thang Long’s Brilliance,” this drone performance sets a record for the highest number of drones in Southeast Asia. Along the path around West Lake, including Trich Sai Street and Nguyen Dinh Thi Street, residents and tourists can enjoy this impressive performance.

The official event will start from 11:30 PM on February 9, 2024 (on the 30th day of the lunar calendar) to 00:15 AM on February 10, 2024 (the 1st day of the lunar calendar) in the area of Nguyen Dinh Thi Street – Trich Sai Street (near the intersection of Van Cao Street), West Lake, Hanoi. The performance consists of two parts: a drone show and a high-altitude fireworks display. It is expected that the program will be broadcasted during Vietnam Television’s special New Year’s Eve program to serve people nationwide.

According to research, Corex Business Solutions is the consulting and implementation unit for this event. The company was established in November 10, 2002, with its head office located on the 9th floor, 14 Lang Ha Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, and a registered capital of 1,500 billion VND.

Corex’s legal representative is currently Nguyen Hoai Thu, born in 1983, who is also the representative of Vega Entertainment Joint Stock Company. It is known that Vega Entertainment is a member unit of KDI Holdings, a group specializing in investing in real estate projects, yachts, entertainment companies, and resorts across the country. This enterprise is also the investor behind the unique private theater in the shape of a sail in Vietnam, which is associated with Kieu Huu Dung – known as the “old wolf” in the banking industry.

In a news article on its homepage, Corex has collaborated with KDI Holdings on projects such as Dong Bac Cai Bau, Nha Trang Vega Theatre, and Vega Beach Club in 2021. In addition to KDI Holdings, Corex has stated that the company is also a partner of Flamingo Holdings, Sunshine Group, Techcombank, Nippon Koei, SCIC, PGBank, VCCI, Vietinbank, Bao Viet, Coca Cola, and more.

On their homepage, Corex is introduced as a business combining strategic consulting and project implementation, with a service ecosystem comprising four sectors: project development – focusing on real estate and cultural tourism, planning and architecture, consulting, business strategy implementation – operation – marketing, and creative and cultural entertainment production.

Regarding the shareholder structure, according to information from the Business Registration Portal, in 2019, Nguyen Hoai Thu owned the largest number of shares in the company, accounting for 65%. Pham Gia Phu held 30% of the capital, while Pham Thi Ngan owned 5%.

However, this is not the first time Corex has organized a light art performance with drones in Vietnam. Specifically, in June 2023, Corex collaborated with Vingroup and the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee to carry out a light art performance with 1,653 drones at the Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival 2023.

Currently, in Vietnam, there is another company that provides drone light art performance services called Hitek Drone Joint Stock Company. This company was formed from the resources of its parent company, Hitek Technology Group, which has many years of experience working in business and software production for international partners in the United States, South Korea, India, and more. It is also the first and only company in Vietnam to provide this service.
