Most flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Quy Nhon, Da Nang, and Hai Phong still have available tickets for the night of the 30th day of Tet. However, it is more difficult for passengers to book flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, and Nha Trang.
According to the observation of PV Tien Phong, many areas at domestic terminals unexpectedly became spacious during the peak hours on the morning of the 30th day of Tet. On the last day of the Lunar year, Tan Son Nhat International Airport is expected to operate 655 flights with over 100,000 passengers, a decrease of nearly 22,000 passengers compared to the previous day. The peak of this year’s high season is over 134,000 passengers.
The highest number of passengers fly during the morning hours from 9 am to 1 pm, the afternoon from 3 pm to 6 pm, and at night from 9 pm to 10 pm. Even on the New Year’s Eve, Tan Son Nhat – Ho Chi Minh City Airport still operates about 30 flights, carrying around 900 passengers.
