According to statistics from VietstockFinance, the weekly trading trend in the first week after Tết Nguyên đán in the recent 5-year period from 2019 – 2023 shows that the result tends to be “green” with up to 3 years of increase on both VN-Index and HNX-Index (2019, 2021, 2022), with a particularly strong increase in 2021, continuing the recovery from the second half of 2020 and setting the stage for the Vietnamese stock market to reach a historic milestone of 1,500 points at the end of that year. Foreign investors also showed enthusiasm with 3 years of net purchases, with the strongest buying in 2021 and 2023.
