According to the Management Board of the Cai Mep-Thi Vai Port Traffic Project, as of now, the progress of land clearance for Component 3 of the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway Phase 1 has reached nearly 99%, with only about 9 households left to be resettled.
Local authorities strive to complete the handover of land for the project in the first quarter of 2024.
Component 3 of the project has a length of about 19.5km, with an approved total investment of VND 4,964 billion, under the management of the People’s Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. The total land area to be reclaimed for the project is 137.52 hectares, including 1,215 households and organizations.
As of now, the total approved compensation fund is over VND 2,701 billion for 1,206 households and organizations, reaching nearly 99%.
There are currently about 9 households in Phu My town that have not yet handed over their land, and it is expected that the local authorities will complete the handover in Q1/2024 to the construction units.
Local authorities have made arrangements for resettlement in available resettlement areas. Currently, 118 resettlement lots have been allocated to households, and procedures are being carried out to allocate the remaining 138 lots. The total demand for resettlement when implementing Component 3 of the project is 256 lots.
Currently, all 3 contractors, including Son Hai Group Limited Liability Company, 479 Hoa Binh Joint Stock Company, and 703 Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company, are simultaneously deploying the project with 15 construction fronts, achieving 15% of the project’s construction value. The project’s progress is 2% ahead of schedule.
The contractors are currently carrying out construction at the following locations: Suoi Nhum Bridge; Hoi Bai-Chau Pha overpass; Suoi Da Bridge; Km43+767 level crossing; Song Dinh Bridge. The completed work includes 178 bored piles for bridges, 45 beams, and over 2,021 m3 of concrete for abutments and bridge piers.
In terms of roads, the contractors have completed the construction of the cement mixing station at Km39+950 and Km48+800; installed the stone crushing station at the quarry Lot II.B in Chau Pha commune; currently constructing 26 out of 50 culvert positions; filled 10km of subgrade for Road K0.95; filled the service road and the right branch of the intersection with National Highway 56; constructing 5km of crushed stone subbase.
In 2024, the project will be allocated VND 500 billion from the central budget. As of now, nearly VND 232 billion has been disbursed, equivalent to 46.4%.
It is expected that in 2024, the project will complete 70% of the value of the works, and by September 30, 2025, the project will be completed, 3 months ahead of the assigned schedule.
