BUZZING ORDER AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR

After the Lunar New Year holiday, businesses in various localities immediately resumed production and are speeding up to meet delivery deadlines. Mr. Huynh Van Thon, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Loc Troi Corporation, said that in the first few days of the year, the company won a bid to supply 65,000 tons of Bulog 65 rice. Therefore, starting from February 15, 2024, 3,600 members of the production ecosystem of Loc Troi Group were present at the factories to restart production.

Also returning to normal operation from the 6th day of the Lunar New Year, Mr. Nguyen Van Thu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GC Food Joint Stock Company, said that on the first day of the new year, GC Food received many orders and the company immediately delivered nearly 60 tons of various goods, mainly aloe vera gel and coconut jelly, to domestic customers. Compared to the same period last year, the amount of goods sold doubled – a very favorable start with a large volume order measured in containers. GC Food will soon have its first export shipment after Tet.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luan, the founder of the agricultural coffee brand Meet More, said that on the first day back to work after the Tet holiday, the company promptly sent containers of coffee to Cat Lai Port to directly reach the Australian market, with each container containing about 18 tons of various types of agricultural coffee such as robusta coffee, cassava coffee, mango coffee, and salty coffee… In addition, the company is also preparing to send a container to the United States in January. “The positive signals at the beginning of the new year are the motivation for the company to have more spirit and determination for a successful business year,” Mr. Luan shared.

After the Lunar New Year holiday, businesses in various localities immediately resumed production and are speeding up to meet delivery deadlines.

A leader of the Management Board of Export Processing Zones – Industrial Parks in Ho Chi Minh City said that labor returning to work after Tet this year has had little change. The reason is that in 2023, many businesses struggled with orders, leading to a decrease in labor income, so many people chose to stay in the city and were ready to return to work on the day of the opening. Many workers want to keep their current jobs and no longer have the mentality of changing jobs after Tet as in previous years.

Similarly, in Dong Nai province, Changshin Vietnam Company spent nearly 8 billion VND to give lucky money to nearly 37,000 workers, encouraging them to work full-time when many orders need to be completed in the first quarter. In Binh Duong province, Duc Thien Co., Ltd. stated that it has resumed production activities and increased labor recruitment. Currently, the company has enough orders until the end of the first quarter of 2024, ensuring employment for labor and exporting about 100 containers of goods per month.

In Hai Phong city, Forever True Trading Company Limited – a company specialized in exporting toys – said that the situation of orders from now until the second quarter of 2024 is more optimistic than last year. To ensure the progress of the orders, at many times the company has to mobilize overtime and extra hours of labor.

Sao Mai Trading Company Limited (Tan Lien Industrial Cluster) also stated that it has signed orders, ensuring smooth production until the second quarter of 2024, and is continuing to implement stable employment orders for nearly 1,000 workers…
