Shark Fin Tracker 27/02: HPG, SSI Slump as Proprietary Traders Sell, while Foreign Investors Accumulate

On February 27th, there was a contrasting trading session between proprietary trading firms and foreign investors. While proprietary traders aggressively sold off their positions, resulting in a net selling value of approximately 604 billion VND, foreign investors continued to buy but only with a net buying value of 75 billion VND.

In the session on 27/02, proprietary traders bought the most shares of EIB, with a value of over 42 billion VND; followed by BID, which was purchased for about 20 billion VND; PC1 was bought for nearly 19 billion VND.

On the other hand, proprietary traders sold the most shares of SSI, with a value of over 101 billion VND. Similarly, HPG was sold for nearly 100 billion VND, followed by DGC with over 34 billion VND.

Contrary to proprietary traders, foreign investors bought the most shares of HPG with an amount of 452 billion VND, more than 3.4 times the value of SSI with nearly 132 billion VND. The third highest was DGC, which was purchased for about 89 billion VND.

Meanwhile, the two banking representatives STB and VPB were the most sold by foreign investors, with over 87 billion VND and nearly 73 billion VND respectively. The third highest was PVD, which was sold for over 64 billion VND.
