Will HAG be included in the FTSE ETF during the Q1 review?

In the forecast for the Q1/2024 ETF review, Yuanta Vietnam Securities Company predicts that the FTSE ETF and VNM ETF funds will aggressively buy 14 million shares of HAG, while simultaneously selling 1.5 million shares of HPG, 2.5 million shares of SSI, and 1.7 million shares of VHM.

Based on data as of 23/02/2024, Yuanta Securities Vietnam forecasts that HAG will be included in the FTSE ETF in the upcoming review, with no stocks being excluded. According to the forecast, the FTSE ETF will buy 13.6 million shares of HAG in this round.

Meanwhile, the Van Eck Market Vector Vietnam Local Index ETF (VNM ETF) will not add or remove any stocks from its portfolio in the Q1 2024 review.

With the above assumptions, Yuanta Securities Vietnam estimates that the FTSE ETF and VNM ETF will aggressively buy 14 million shares of HAG, while selling 1.5 million shares of HPG, 2.5 million shares of SSI, and 1.7 million shares of VHM.

On 01/03/2024, FTSE will announce the results of the portfolio reshuffling for the FTSE ETF, while the reference index of the VNM ETF will be announced one week later.
