In 2023, THACO KIA factory was selected by the KIA Group to be the partner in training the manufacturing process and supporting the production trial of Kia Sonet cars for ADM – Uzbekistan company.
After 4 training sessions on production process and practical lines at the THACO KIA factory for over 200 personnel including managers, technical officers from ADM company, on February 15th, THACO KIA sent staff to work at ADM – Uzbekistan company to directly supervise the production process.
In this supervisory session, THACO KIA factory will monitor and supervise the process of welding components, the quality of welding joints, measuring the accuracy of the vehicle body; the process of applying sealing adhesive, completing body painting; the process of assembling components; evaluating the completed assembly of sample cars to meet the technical requirements, quality standards of the global KIA Group.
At the same time, THACO KIA engineers also shared their methods of troubleshooting technical errors after each stage, actively supported the technical team of managers, engineers, technical officers, and workers of ADM company to complete the project on schedule.
Prior to that, on February 7th, 2024, THACO AUTO also organized a meeting with the THACO KIA factory personnel participating in the production supervision at ADM – Uzbekistan company. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Doan Dat Ninh – Deputy General Director of THACO AUTO in charge of Production Department shared his experience working abroad, integrating cultures, and hoping that the personnel would raise their sense of responsibility, comply with the code of conduct of THACO group, promote intelligence and capabilities to fulfill their tasks and contribute to building the image and brand of THACO.
The participation of THACO KIA factory in supervising the production of Kia cars for partners has affirmed the capacity, competence, and skills of the THACO KIA engineering team and the THACO AUTO Group in general.
Through learning, accumulating technological sources, THACO KIA engineering team has gained control over the production process and quality assurance, thereby actively contributing to the technology transfer activities of the KIA Group.
