According to updated information on Ford Vietnam’s website, the price of the large-size SUV model Explorer has been significantly reduced. Currently, Ford Explorer is listed at 1,999 billion VND, a decrease of 440 million VND compared to the previous figure of 2,439 billion VND.
This is the lowest price of Ford Explorer since its appearance in the Vietnamese market. Previously, after launching on the market in 2022, this large-size SUV quickly became one of the sought-after cars. At that time, buyers had to spend an additional 300 million VND to own a Ford Explorer.
It is known that Explorer is currently being sold in the Vietnamese automobile market as the 6th generation, imported completely built unit (CBU) from the United States. The car is developed on a new unibody frame system with dimensions of 5,049 x 2,004 x 1,778 (mm), and a wheelbase of 3,025 mm.
In the new generation, Ford Explorer has a redesigned grille, with a hexagonal shape adorned with fox-eye pattern. The car features full LED lighting, new 20-inch wheels design. The tail of Ford Explorer 2022 is designed with sharp edges and new LED taillights.
The interior of the car is equipped with an 8-inch center touch screen integrated with SYNC 3.4. The digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel is increased to 6.5 inches. Other equipment of the Ford Explorer includes a premium B&O sound system with 12 speakers, 3-zone independent air conditioning with premium air filter, wireless charging and type C charging, dual-zone Panorama sunroof, power trunk, heated steering wheel, remote start system.
The car is powered by a 2.3L Ecoboost turbocharged engine with a maximum power of nearly 297 horsepower and a maximum torque of 431 Nm. The power is transmitted to the wheels by 4WD drivetrain and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The car has 7 different driving modes, including Normal, Sport, Eco, Slippery, Deep Snow/Sand, Tow/Haul, and Trail.
In addition, Ford Explorer is also equipped with the Co-Pilot360 package, which includes advanced safety features such as blind spot warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and adaptive headlamps.
In January, Ford Explorer recorded sales of 102 units, a particularly impressive number considering that the sales for this model throughout 2023 was only 320 units. Its competitors include Volkswagen Teramont and Hyundai Palisade.
