On March 20th, Petrovietnam organized the Announcement and Award Ceremony for the decisions of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Council of Members, and Director General of the Group for Comrade Le Ngoc Son.
At the ceremony, representatives from the Organization and Personnel Department of the State Capital Management Committee, the Party Committee’s Organization Board of the Central Enterprises Block, and the Human Resources Management Board of Petrovietnam announced the decisions: the appointment of Members of the Council of Members, the appointment of the Director General, and the approval to participate in the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Petrovietnam Party Committee for the 2020 – 2025 term for Comrade Le Ngoc Son.
In his speech at the ceremony, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Trade Union Nguyen Hoang Anh congratulated Petrovietnam for completing its key leadership personnel. He congratulated Comrade Le Ngoc Son on being trusted with new tasks. Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Trade Union affirmed that this is an honor but also a very heavy responsibility. With confidence in Comrade Le Ngoc Son’s extensive work experience, professional qualifications, and practical experience in management and leadership, he believed that Comrade Le Ngoc Son will continue to promote the achievements, overcome difficulties, and contribute to the sustainable growth and development of the Group along with the leaders, officials, and workers.
In accepting the new role, Comrade Le Ngoc Son expressed his gratitude to the Government’s leadership, the Central Committee’s Departments, Ministries, and Central Enterprises Block’s Party Committee, and the leadership team of Petrovietnam for trusting and assigning him the important position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Council of Members, and Director General of the Group. At the same time, Comrade Le Ngoc Son expressed deep gratitude to the pioneer generation, the generations of Oil and Gas workers who have explored, developed, built, and developed Petrovietnam into the largest economic group in the country, contributing to ensuring national energy security, economic security, food security, and national defense security.
Being appointed as the Director General of the Group, Comrade Le Ngoc Son emphasized that this is not only a source of pride but also a huge responsibility for himself. In the upcoming journey, alongside favorable conditions, Petrovietnam will also face many difficulties. Comrade Le Ngoc Son believed that with the spirit of “One team – One goal”, they will continue to seize the opportunities in difficulties and challenges, renewing the old motivation and supplementing new motivation, guiding the Group to new heights.
With that spirit, in the new position, Comrade Le Ngoc Son stated that together with the leadership team, officials, Party members, and Oil and Gas workers, they will focus on 6 key tasks to renew the old motivation and supplement new motivation, guiding the Group to new heights: enhancing leadership and direction capacity; raising enterprise culture to a new level; perfecting system arrangement and policies; enhancing corporate governance; optimizing investment portfolio and finance; expanding value chain and developing science and technology.
“I commit to continue the traditions, courage, and will of the Oil and Gas people, ‘the people who seek fire’, inheriting and promoting the cultural values that have been shaped and created in over 6 decades of formation, construction, and development. With the motto ‘Continuing resources, creating the future’, I will strive to the best of my abilities, stand side by side with the leadership team, the member units, and officials and workers of the whole Group, unite and join forces, strive to successfully accomplish the tasks assigned by the Party, State and the goals set by the Group, contribute to building and developing Petrovietnam into the leading Industrial and Energy Group of the country and the region,” Comrade Le Ngoc Son concluded.
Chairman of the Council of Members Le Manh Hung expressed his wish that the Party, State, Central Committees, Departments, and Ministries, and the Block’s Party Committee will continue to care for, support, and lead Petrovietnam to fulfilling its production and business tasks, achieving victory in the new development stage, and solving the difficulties currently faced by the Group.
Comrade Le Manh Hung called on the leadership team, officials, Party members, and workers across the whole Group to continue promoting the spirit of “One team – One goal” with the motto of “accompanying, synchronizing, comprehensive, continuous, goal-oriented”, focusing on building and development, making Petrovietnam, a stable and sustainable Group, a source of pride for Oil and Gas workers, the country, and the Vietnamese people.
