Construction teams focus on projects to improve the urban environment of Chu Lai and Nui Thanh.
Previously, the Management Board for Investment Projects in Construction of Traffic Works (BQLGT) of Quang Nam Province affirmed that if the Ben Van River Embankment and Tam Hai Embankment projects under the Chu Lai Nui Thanh Urban Environment Improvement Project are not on schedule, the contracts will be terminated, because the units have repeatedly committed but have failed to deliver as promised.
Regarding this issue, Mr. Luc Thanh Binh said: “Currently, the construction still follows the contract schedule, however, some commitments at meetings with the project owner were not met as required, because the construction period was hit by 2 years of the Covid-19 pandemic, storms and floods, along with price hikes and various other problems that had a negative impact on the construction site. Nevertheless, the contractor has made great efforts to complete most of the work volume at the site; and has worked closely with consulting firms, the project owner, and local authorities on site clearance (GPMB) throughout this period.
Mr. Binh said, the contractor has made specific progress on the following tasks: For the Ben Van project, construction volume has reached 90%. Specifically, the entire length of 590m has been completed with reinforced concrete embankment on pile foundations; and filling with K95 granular materials has been completed; the remaining volume of K95 soil will be entirely completed before April 30; and the road surface and other ancillary items will be fully completed before June 30.
Company 873 is currently carrying out construction of the Ben Van Embankment Project.
Regarding the Tam Hai embankment, Mr. Luc Thanh Binh said: “The contractor has completed 100% of the construction volume for the sections where site clearance has been done; and has mobilized enough reinforced concrete piles for the remaining part of the project. Currently, we have gathered personnel, pile driving equipment, and equipment systems, and with the support of BQLGT and local authorities in site clearance, we can ensure that construction will be completed as soon as the site is ready. We also earnestly hope that the press will provide comprehensive information to continue to help us complete our mission.
The construction teams have mobilized equipment to implement the Ben Van Embankment Project.
Previously, on April 19, Dai Doan Ket Online reported, “Quang Nam: Ben Van River Embankment and Tam Hai Embankment projects not on schedule will be terminated”, reflecting the fact that BQLGT of Quang Nam Province requested that Company 873 accelerate the construction progress of the Ben Van River Embankment and Tam Hai Embankment projects under the Chu Lai Nui Thanh Urban Environment Improvement project.
