2024 Annual General Meeting Season: Companies Offer Incentives to Attract Shareholders
The season for the 2024 Annual General Meetings (AGMs) is reaching its peak in late April. In addition to the usual announcements of business plans and dividend payments, companies are competing to offer attractive incentives to encourage shareholder attendance.
One of the most generous companies this AGM season is Bamboo Capital Group Corporation (BCG). BCG has announced a valuable prize giveaway program for attendees of its Annual General Meeting on April 27th, 2024.
Shareholders who are on the record date and attend the meeting on April 27th will have the chance to win one of 500 consolation prizes worth VND 500,000 each; 20 fourth prizes of VND 5 million each; 15 third prizes of an iPad Air 5 each; 10 second prizes of 3 SJC gold bars each; 5 first prizes of an iPhone 15 Promax 256Gb each; and 1 grand prize of 1 SJC gold bar.
Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MBB) is also offering substantial incentives to attending shareholders. At its 2024 AGM held on April 19th, MBB distributed VND 500,000 in cash to each attending shareholder. This policy of gifting cash to attendees has been in place since 2023 and has successfully attracted a large number of shareholders.
Other companies are showing their appreciation for investors with gifts of their own products. PAN Group Joint Stock Company (PAN) is giving shareholders physical gifts of the company’s products for the second consecutive year.
Shareholders, both individuals, and institutions, who hold 25,000 PAN shares or more as of the record date for the 2024 AGM, March 27th, 2024, and have completed the necessary form, will receive a gift from PAN Group.
The gift includes products manufactured by PAN Group and popular with consumers, such as: 50 kg of Vinaseed rice; 6 bottles of 584 Nha Trang premium fish sauce; and a gift box containing a variety of PAN products including Lafooco cashew nuts and dried fruit, Bibica candy, and SHIN coffee.
While physical gifts are still being offered, PAN Group’s gift package this year is reduced by 50 kg of rice and 6 bottles of 584 Nha Trang premium fish sauce compared to last year, with the addition of a gift box containing a variety of PAN products.
Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (CII) has announced an appreciation program for shareholders who attend or authorize the management team to attend the 2024 Annual General Meeting on April 24th.
CII has stated that, depending on the number of shares owned by eligible shareholders, those who attend or authorize attendance will receive a monetary gift by bank transfer from the AGM organizers.
