Do Bridge over the Thi Tinh River is nearly 170m long with a total investment of 213 billion VND. This is the bypass route for Ben Cat town (which has just become a city, effective from May 1), helping to reduce traffic congestion and shorten travel time for local people.

In early 2021, Binh Duong started the construction of the project. Do Bridge has a permanent prestressed reinforced concrete structure with a length of over 165m and a width of 20m, including 4 motor vehicle lanes. The bridge approach is over 211m long. The length of the connecting road to the bridge is 596m, with a width of 25m.

According to the plan, the new Do Bridge is a bypass route for Ben Cat town, connecting to Provincial Road 748 at one end and to the road leading through urban areas to National Highway 13 at the other end.

The construction of the bridge aims at reducing congestion and lessens the number of vehicles, many of which are heavy vehicles passing through Ben Cat inner-city, causing traffic jams and potential traffic accidents. In addition, the new bridge also contributes to the beautification of the Thi Tinh River bank area, facilitating the expansion of the western urban area of Ben Cat city in the future.

Previously, the National Assembly Standing Committee passed a Resolution to establish An Dien and An Tay wards in Ben Cat town and to establish Ben Cat city, Binh Duong province. The Resolution takes effect from May 1, 2024. To celebrate Ben Cat’s elevation to city status, the locality is organizing many practical activities, including the inauguration ceremony of Do Bridge.

Ben Cat will hold a ceremony to announce the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of An Dien Ward and An Tay Ward in Ben Cat Town and the establishment of Ben Cat City, Binh Duong Province; and to receive the First Class Labor Medal on the morning of April 25, 2024 at 30/4 Square
